Gabbia is Italian for 'cage'. How does one design a shape which is attractive outside its function as a coat rack? To find this aesthetic autonomy which is independent of its function, it was necessary to design a rack almost like a sculpture, with a shape which makes it exist within its space. In the case of Gabbia, the process was inverted: the object must remain readable, presence of clothes notwithstanding. Functioning just as well as container as a rack, the structure of the coat rack is not concealed by the clothes since they are hooked inside it. Coat rack in satin black lacquered steel with 2 black lacquered steel surfaces (Ø 38.7 cm).
