The Nelson unique wooden bed, designed by Matteo Nunziati for Bonaldo, is the key element of this new bedroom collection. Its hallmark features are the clean lines, precise analysis of the shapes and proportions, and the meticulous care taken over the details. The dramatic and imposing wooden headboard which surrounds and frames a smaller, softer, padded headboard is the stand-out feature. The flat, slimline bed base, also made of wood, rests on slender metal feet: elements which give the Nelson bed the impression of being “suspended” as if it were floating in the bedroom. In the Nelson L version, the headboard is larger and the bedside tables are incorporated in the bed creating a balanced and elegant result. The range is completed by the bench with a wooden frame and soft fabric cover: an elegant, sophisticated, yet functional element.
